![]() ![]() His greatest joy in life, however, was spending time with his devoted family. Carmen enjoyed playing softball and poker, and summers at the beach, the racetrack and Atlantic City. ![]() Carmen then went to work for Pamrapo Savings Bank as an investment banker retiring at the age of 82. He worked as the Comptroller for the Hoboken Housing Authority for many years retiring at the age of 56. Carmen graduated from Seton Hall University with a Bachelor’s Degree in accounting and subsequently became a CPA. Peter and Paul Church in Hoboken and a member of their Holy Name Society. Carmen was actively involved in the lodge’s many fundraisers. Carmen was an active member of Hoboken Elks Lodge #74 where he served as treasurer and trustee for 25 years. He received the Good Conduct Medal, American Campaign Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with two Bronze Service Stars, World War II Victory Medal, Honorable Service Lapel Button WWII and the Expert Badge with Carbine Bar. Carmen was awarded many medals for his meritorious service. While in the service, he attended a university in France and Catholic University in Washington, D.C. Carmen proudly served in the United States Army during World War II. Born and raised in Hoboken, Carmen has resided in Tinton Falls for the last 10 years. Frio, age 98, passed away on Thursday, Octoat his home in Tinton Falls. ![]()
